AN EVENING IN NAPOLI is the first single from Rumbadoodle II, the follow-up to Arun Shenoy’s breakthrough Flamenco Fusion debut titled Rumbadoodle that was nominated at the GRAMMY at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards®.
Teaming up with violinist Ian Cameron, vocalist Melina and featured artist Matthew Shell, this new single was released on August 10th, 2023.
The music and the supporting artwork and animated film were designed to continue where the title track from Rumbadoodle in 2012 had left off.

This was never truer than during the seventeenth century, when Naples remained under its Spanish viceroys and became the music capital of Europe.
The visuals for the artwork are depicted through another aspect of Naples, the Camorra, the Italian organized crime group that grew to power in Naples during the 19th century. The storyline for the supporting animated music film draws inspiration from some of the greatest Mafia romance books of our time, brought to life on film by the team at Actuality Films in NYC who had previously conceptualized and executed the visual elements of Rumbadoodle with the late art director Roshni Mohapatra.
